Sq. Enix’s ridiculous Dragon Quest Slime controller is again and coming to Swap • Eurogamer.web
Sq. Enix is resurrecting the ridiculous Dragon Quest Slime controller, and this time it is coming to Swap.
For these unfamiliar, the peripheral is mainly a giant blue (and admittedly cute) lump of teardrop-shaped plastic with a load of buttons on its arse. Designed and manufactured by Hori, it has been intermittently popping up in varied, subtly totally different types over time, on PS2 and most lately on PS4.
The brand new iteration, regardless of preliminary appearances, is a completely working Swap controller (most carefully resembling the Professional model), with all of the buttons you may must play the upcoming Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age, the newly introduced Dragon Quest Hero character for Tremendous Smash Bros. Final, and just about anything that takes your fancy – though you may clearly need to take care of its bulk, button placement, and ergonomics.
An eye catching centrepiece on any dinner desk…As an added bonus, it comes with a cardboard stand, functioning each as a way of displaying your new, lumpen prized possession, and your Swap on the identical time. There’s even a little bit crown to stay in your Slime’s head if you happen to so select.
…and a completely functioning controller as well. The Dragon Quest Slime controller for Swap will likely be launching in Japan this September for 10,778 yen (round 80). Though Dragon Quest 11 is now confirmed to be heading west on 29th September, there is no indication if the controller will likely be making the journey too.
